The City of Greenwood has been named one of six statewide recipients of the third annual Arkansas Shine Awards from The Keep Arkansas Beautiful Commission.  The Arkansas Shine Awards program recognizes communities that are making significant strides in providing programs and instituting policies to create sustainable communities.

 On September 30 at the Greenwood High School Gym, Greenwood Mayor Kenneth Edwards, Jr. and members of the Greenwood City Council and other elected officials, volunteers and supporters and representatives from Keep Arkansas Beautiful Commission were present for the award presentation and reception.
