The Parks and Recreation Department understands that quality of life is vital to the residents of Greenwood.  The numerous facilities and recreational programs provided by the Parks and Recreation Department contribute directly to the health and well-being of the entire community.

The Department is a dynamic organization that constantly responds to change, develops new programs, adds and upgrades facilities and continues its efforts to preserve greenspace.

Greenwood Inclusive Playground Project

We're excited to share that construction on Greenwood's Inclusive Playground is officially underway, and everything is coming together right on schedule!

It's been exciting to watch this long-awaited project move from vision to reality. While there's still plenty of work ahead, we're making great progress and look forward to sharing more updates as construction continues.

This playground will provide a welcoming space where children of all abilities can play, learn, and grow together, and we can't wait for the day we open it to the community.

Bell Park has 4 Lighted Pickle Ball Courts and a Basketball Court, a Wheelchair Accessible Swing, 2 Playgrounds, 8 Picnic Pavilions a Hammock Park, a Disc Golf Course & a Beautiful Promenade (approx. .25 mile of sidewalk) with two amazing overlook areas, with access to the City Walking Trail in 2 locations.
