Parks and Recreation Assistant Director

The City of Greenwood has an opening for a Assistant Director of Parks and Recreation. 

Essential duties and responsibilities would include assisting in the comprehensive development, implementation and evaluation of department policies, programs, events and services to maintain a diversified and comprehensive department. Develops program goals and objectives to meet departmental Master Plan and community needs. Consults and advises the community regarding activities and facility use while providing excellent customer service. 

Minimum Qualifications include a Valid Driver's License, CPR/First Aid Certification and preferred cerfications of Certified Parks & Recreation Professional (CPRP) and/or Aquatic Facility Operator (AFO) 

Preferred Education and/or Experience include High School Diploma is required. Bachelor's degree or equivalent from college or university is preferred. Must have at least 3 years of progressive responsibility in a related field.  Experience with customer service, marketing, recreation programming and experience with overseeing an operational budget.
